BSD Resident Association is organizing a Media Conference this Thursday. Jaringan is taking a strong stand on this issue together with BSDRA. Please come to the Club House to show your support. Please read on to have a general feeling of the magnitude of the problem we may face in the future if we don't act now.
The hard realities are knocking on our doors. Our serenity and the splendorous township will be wiped out. Several efforts and initiatives of every caring resident of our township will come to a naught soon. Our resplendent garden township is at danger now. Over zealous and selfish developers are eying our township for their convenience.
Yes, my dear friends, our township is at a risk by a neighbouring developer who wants to cut into our township to further boost his sales. The 100 acre development will easily house 1,000 units of houses. That means about 4,000 people will occupy the township. This also means the floodgates will open for Damansara Damai residents to traverse into our Persiaran Perdana and Persiaran Meranti. Imagine another 100,000 residents of Damansara Damai in some modes of transport pushing themselves into our well kept, well serviced and landscaped township.
Our roads will swell with cars and lorries. The Damansara Damai, Sutera Damansara residents, who wants to use the LDP will jump into our Persiaran Perdana. The already pregnant U-turn on the LDP will further burst with cars, prolonging the beeline into our Persiaran Ara. The same will be the case when everyone returns. They will beat the traffic jam on the Sungai Buloh/Kepong road by turning into Persiaran Ara just making their way into Persiaran Perdana.
We will be the next SS2, Taman Tun, Sea Park and Damansara Utama. Our school children will have a tough time during schools hours to go to school. Our traffic light junctions on Persiaran Perdana will not be able to handle the load. The pollution level will rise. The illegal parking along the road shoulders will double. Our several junctions on the Persiaran Perdana will choke as several trailers and lorries would want to make quick and fast turns. Our safety is at check when too many outsiders infiltrate into our well spaced, organised and designed township. Existing security systems and guards may not suffice.
What's our recourse? What's our action going to be? How are we going to face this onslaught? Let's ponder......We the residents should stand as one to counter this intrusion. We should say our piece by registering our protest to the Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya, Our Member of Parliament, Our state assembly women, our councilor and media on this link which will destroy the beauty and sanctity of our beautiful Bandar Sri Damansara.
